Prakash Raj Defends Fawad Khan’s Abir Gulaal, Opposes Film Bans: “Let the Audience Decide”

Veteran actor Prakash Raj has come out strongly against the ban on  Abir Gulaal , a romantic drama featuring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor. In a candid interview with  The Lallantop , Raj emphasized that no film—regardless of its political leaning or message—should be banned unless it contains illegal content such as pornography or child abuse. “I don’t support the banning of any film, whether it’s right-wing or propaganda. It’s the audience’s right to decide. Let the people choose what they want to watch,” he said. Citing examples like  Padmaavat  (2018),  Pathaan  (2023), and  L2: Empuraan , Raj highlighted how easily public outrage is sparked today, often leading to threats and intimidation. Rajasthan Govt. to host Investment RoadShow at Chennai


 Jaipur : Inviting investors from Tamil Nadu, Government of Rajasthan will host an investment roadshow at Chennai on Monday,. A delegation of state Government led by Industry and Commerce Minister Smt Shakuntala Rawat and Food and Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs Minister Shri Pratap Singh Khachariyawas will hold discussions at the investor connect program being held at Hotel Westin Chennai with support of national partner CII.

"Rajasthan is rising in a new era of development under leadership of honourable Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot. The state government has created a conducive ecosystem for investment with help of friendly policies and robust infrastructure. The state also has abundant natural wealth and we are inviting investors to be part of Rajasthan's growth," said Smt Shakuntala Rawat, Industry and Commerce Minister of Rajasthan.

The Chennai roadshow is part of Rajasthan Government's global investor outreach program ahead of its mega investment summit Invest Rajasthan being held at Jaipur on 24-25 January 2022.  It arrives in sequence of successful roadshows in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Hyderabad.

The Invest Rajasthan is being held at Jaipur, Rajasthan on 24-25 January 2022. The state government has been on global outreach and has received MoUs and LoIs of over Rs 5 lakh. The state is showcasing its traditional advantages of rich mineral resources, abundant land reserves and skilled manpower along with new developing industrial venues such as Petrochemical and Petroleum investment Region, EV Zone, Fintech Park and others.

The Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2019 offers lucrative incentives and relaxations for new investments and identifies several thrust areas for additional benefits. The option of customised packages offered under RIPS has been a major attraction for big investments.
