Prakash Raj Defends Fawad Khan’s Abir Gulaal, Opposes Film Bans: “Let the Audience Decide”

Veteran actor Prakash Raj has come out strongly against the ban on  Abir Gulaal , a romantic drama featuring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor. In a candid interview with  The Lallantop , Raj emphasized that no film—regardless of its political leaning or message—should be banned unless it contains illegal content such as pornography or child abuse. “I don’t support the banning of any film, whether it’s right-wing or propaganda. It’s the audience’s right to decide. Let the people choose what they want to watch,” he said. Citing examples like  Padmaavat  (2018),  Pathaan  (2023), and  L2: Empuraan , Raj highlighted how easily public outrage is sparked today, often leading to threats and intimidation. Sowmya CM Crowned Miss Globe India 2024: Karnataka’s Gem Set to Dazzle the World

 


Sowmya CM, the farmer's daughter from Karnataka, has made the nation proud for winning the coveted title of Miss Globe India 2024. She will be representing India in the Miss Globe 2024 pageant at Albania on October 15. Dr. Aishwarya Patiapati crowned Sowmya in a mega event. Pooja Penumala was announced as the first runner-up.

Originally hailing from Bengaluru, Sowmya CM has been in the news for her modeling and acting careers. She made her film debut recently in the Telugu movie "Indrajaalam," which greatly diversifies her prospects in the entertainment industry. A polyglot, Sowmya speaks Kannada, English, and Telugu, making versatility her trademark in regional and national film industries.

Sowmya CM first hit the limelight in 2022 when she was crowned as Miss Karnataka, marking the inception of her march in the epoch of beauty pageants. The beauty of this pageant is the addition to the crown Miss Globe India 2024, with the consequent burgeoning recognition in both the modeling and film industries.

The Miss Globe India pageant is organized by Miss Celeste India National Level Beauty Pageant, and the national directors for the event are Yogesh Mishra and Nimisha Mishra, founders of Fusion Group. Last year, Dr. Aishwarya Patiapati also passed on the crown, being one of the Top 15 finalists at the Miss Globe pageant back at Miss Globe Femina '23. Eyes set on Sowmya to perform so on the international turf.

All eyes will be on Sowmya CM, who is set to represent India and hopes to bring home the Miss Globe crown.
